How wide can an aluminum folding door span?

Up to 144" wide, full view, in multi-panel configurations. Most patio openings come in at 8–12 feet.

What's a thermal break and why does it matter?

Aluminum conducts cold from outside to inside without a thermal break. A polyamide strip inside the profile separates inner and outer skins so cold doesn't transfer. Without it, you'd get condensation, ice in winter, and energy loss.

Will the multi-point lock work with my smart lock?

Yes — most major smart-lock systems (Schlage, Yale, August) have compatible upgrade kits for multi-point hardware. Confirm in your quote.

How does aluminum compare to wood or fiberglass for energy?
